Diffused Light

An even, soft light  without large shadows or contrasts is called diffuse light. It usually comes from large light sources and is distributed in a certain direction. Artificial light sources can create diffuse light through textiles, umbrellas, softboxes or similar. Dichroic Reflector

Coolbeam, multimirror reflector and cold light reflector  are all also known as dichroic reflectors. They predominantly reflect visible light a nd transmit or absorb the infrared.  The light  emits less heat and improves colour rendering  achieves.  For Luxury Lighting Fixtures visit: https://mydesignangel.in/collections/wall-lamps Check out our Interesting   Collection   Accessories: https://mydesignangel.in/collections/vases

Uplights

Mounted above eye level, ceiling floodlights or uplights are used to brighten or illuminate the ceilings and thus contribute to the indirect general lighting  of a room. Since they illuminate large areas that are supposed to reflect the light  back into the room, ceiling floodlights primarily use bright lamps such as high voltage lamps  and high pressure discharge lamps are used. In ceiling floodlights with direct light, the reflector  transmits light downwards. Ceiling floodlight floor lamps with a combination of an ceiling floodlight and a reading light on the adjustable arm are also popular for use in living areas. Contemporary wall light ideas for a living room

Bridging the gap between ceiling lights   and table lamps ,  contemporary wall lights for living rooms are a crucial part of layering a scheme, working to make your spaces feel cosier and bigger. Not only that, but they can be used to cleverly highlight architectural features and cherished artworks, while the boldest designs can be iconic masterpieces in their own right. Better still, they can help to zone rooms, whether marking out a reading corner or a bar area. In particular, a living room requires layers of lights for dialling up and down the ambience as and when required, from entertaining guests to reading a book and watching TV. Here, we explore how you can embrace  contemporary wall lights   for living rooms, along with plenty of bright ideas.  Use lighting to highlight a feature From panelling to artwork, directional lighting can shine a whole new light on the things you love most about a space, so consider contemporary wall lights to bring out a...

Darklight Reflector

A well-masked downlight  (or a recessed ceiling light) is for visual comfort  very important in the room. Particularly when the lights  in the luminaires radiate across the surface, the light cone c an annoying glare . Through reflectors  with sliding parabolic focal points and shields, light emerges above the shielding angle  prevented. For darklight reflectors, the shielding angle is equal to the cut off angle.  Until you can see the light source directly, there is no direct glare. Computer workstation lights, for example, need a beam angle of 40°. Dark Sky Technology

Dark sky technology is a method from lighting planning in which the entire light  of an outdoor light is illuminated with the help of < a i=3>Reflectors is directed downwards. This avoids brightening of the night sky, the so-called light pollution. Above the luminaire there is no light emission from artificial light sources, which prevents unnecessary brightening of the night sky and thus the so-called light smog. DALI

The “Digital Addressable Lighting Interface” is a cross-manufacturer interface that enables the control of electronic ballasts  via digital control signals. Lights and other building technology components can be controlled individually or in groups, for example switched or dimmed. Compared to the analog interface (1-10V)   DALI can control individual operating devices due to their individual addressability. It is intended to guarantee the interchangeability of operating devices from different manufacturers in a lighting system. Feedback from each individual device to the control unit is necessary in the event of a defect in the light source.  DALI technology is only designed for lighting control. The  can be addressed on one control line. It has very flexible application and installation options and is easy to use luminaires  possible. A special DALI ECG is required for DALI control. This means that up to 64 DALI-compatible and individually dimm...

Brand Focus: Gubi

Gubi is the prestigious manufacturer behind some of our most popular designs. Its collection champions the works or design icons as well as modern designers to create a well-rounded portfolio. Its cutting-edge approach to design means Gubi lighting and furniture never falls short of perfection. We delved deep to discover more about the design house and the brains behind it. Who founded Gubi? Gubi and Lisbeth Olsen founded Gubi in Copenhagen in 1967. Gubi had always pushed design boundaries to explore new directions and in doing so created his own unique post-modernistic expression. A plethora of cultural references inspired each of his designs. This includes the rich tradition of craft found in their native Denmark as well as French cinema, Napoleon and a grand piano. Originally, the eponymously named design house focused on the Olsens’ own furniture designs. However, once the duo’s sons opened a concept store, Gubi evolved and began transforming into the company we know today. G...

Coolbeam

Coolbeam is the English name for cold light mirror lamp, i.e. a halogen lamp that has a dichroic reflector . This cold light reflector consists of an interference layer system and thereby reflects visible light , while it reflects the infrared light largely either absorbed or transmitted. This causes heat to diffuse which means that in addition to improved colour rendering the light also gives off less heat.  Check out our Interesting   Collection   Accessories: https://mydesignangel.in/collections/vases For Luxury Lighting Fixtures visit: https://mydesignangel.in/collections/wall-lamps

Circadian Rhythm

The circadian rhythm is the biological rhythm of living things over a period of around 24 hours. The interaction of cells and organs, each of which has its own circadian rhythm, results in the externally visible and measurable circadian rhythms of the entire organism.  Light is an essential factor because it determines the daily routine. If less time is spent in daylight , impairments in the circadian rhythm can occur, which are reflected, for example, in sleep disorders, eating disorders, lack of energy or depression.  Check out our Interesting   Collection   Accessories: https://mydesignangel.in/collections/vases For Luxury Lighting Fixtures visit: https://mydesignangel.in/collections/wall-lamps

The Iconic AJ Lamp by Louis Poulsen

Arne Jacobsen designed the   AJ Lamp   for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Collection) in 1957. Today, the AJ lamp family is regarded as the design that the Danish architect is best known for all over the world. At that time, the AJ lamp family comprised a table lamp, a small table lamp, a wall lamp, a floor lamp and a working lamp that was designed to attach to the table. In combination with the AJ Royal pendant, the AJ Lamp formed part of the overall design concept that Jacobsen created for the hotel.  Arne Jacobsen did not just design the hotel down to the smallest detail for SAS (Scandinavian Airlines), he also designed almost all the hotel’s original furniture – such as the famous Egg chair and Swan chair –, the utility items and the lighting.   The profile of the AJ Lamp with its straight lines and its combination of oblique and right angles is not only seen as a formal parallel to the profile of the 3300 Series, but also to the geometric pro...

Office Lighting

The term office lighting includes all luminaires  that are used in the office. These include task lights, pendant lights, ceiling or grid lights. and serve to ensure occupational safety. When it comes to workplace lighting, workplace-oriented general lighting and individual general lighting. A distinction is made between Spotlights and Spots.  Office Lighting Check out our Interesting   Collection   Accessories: https://mydesignangel.in/collections/vases For Luxury Lighting Fixtures visit: https://mydesignangel.in/collections/wall-lamps

Radiation Characteristics

The direction-dependent emission of light from a lamp is referred to as the radiation characteristic. It can be influenced by apertures, lenses,  grids or reflectors  and can can be represented, for example, in light intensity distribution curves . Depending on the shape of these curves, a distinction is made between symmetrical and asymmetrical radiation characteristics. Symmetrical shape Spotlights, Spots and Downlights  usually have a symmetrical one light cone.   The beam angle is rotationally symmetrical and the cone is perceived as a circle on a vertically illuminated surface.  Asymmetrical shape Especially when flooding , an even illuminance  should be achieved , for example to uniformly illuminate pictures, walls or other flat surfaces. Since the luminaire often has to be attached to the side or above the surface to be illuminated, asymmetrical beam characteristics are suitable for this. The light exit can be shaped using an asymmetrical...

Bridgearm Lights

Lights with a long arm that can be adjusted at several joints are called bridgearm lights. In these models, the arm functions as a “bridge”, so that the position of the light   can be easily changed depending on the desired brightness . They are therefore particularly suitable for reading. There are wall lights as well as floor lamps or table lamps that are equipped with bridge arm technology. Brilliance

Brilliance is the effect of light and is created by the reflection of the light source or the refraction of the light. Just like the spatial modeling  the brilliance is created by directed light sources and contributes to the differentiated perception of the space. The more punctiform a light source emits its light,  the more brilliant it is perceived. However, the amount of light emitted is not important. Even a small low voltage halogen lamp  can produce clearly visible brilliance effects. Brilliance effects predominantly occur on the edges and curves of shiny objects. They draw attention to the object and the viewer experiences an emotional enhancement of the respective situation. The object appears more interesting and pleasant. In various situations, brilliance can have a negative impact. This is then referred to as glare . For example, reflections on transparent covers, screens or glossy art paper are perceived as annoying glare. Check out our Interesting ...
